Provide information as required to enable access to My Oracle Support, and to enable proxy connections. Provide this information to enable software updates during this installation session.
Provide your My Oracle Support user name and password, or provide the user name and password of the person whose Oracle Support credentials you want to use with this installation. The user account credentials you enter must be for an account that has download privileges from My Oracle Support.
To configure a proxy for Oracle Universal Installer to use to connect to the Internet, click Proxy Settings, and provide the proxy server information needed for your site. For example:
Proxy Server: www-proxy.example.com
Proxy port number: 80
Proxy Username: Scott
Proxy Password: Tiger112
Proxy Realm: realm.example.com
Proxy realm information is case-sensitive. If you do not have a proxy realm, then you do not need to provide an entry for the the Proxy Username, Proxy Password, and Proxy Realm fields.
Click OK to enter the proxy setting information.
Click Test Connection to check to ensure that your proxy settings are correctly entered, and the installer can download updates. If the proxy test is successful, then a message window appears to confirm that a test connection to My Oracle Support has succeeded. If the proxy test is unsuccessful, then a message window appears that indicates that the access to My Oracle Support is blocked by a proxy access request failure. Confirm that you have entered your proxy username, password, and proxy realm information correctly, or check with your network administrator to determine the cause of the proxy access request failure.
Select this option if you have already downloaded software updates.
For example, you can start an installation from one server that has access to a public gateway, download the software updates to a portable storage device on that server, and transfer the software updates to a secured server location with no gateway access.
You can also start an installation, stop it to address a failed installation requirement, and start a new installation using the software updates you downloaded in the previous installation.
